Pictorial landscape (2017)

'The photographs in this series are a subjective view on landscape – they reflect a very personal perception and memory of the landscape. These images are somewhat reminiscent of the work and aesthetics of the pictorialist photographers of the late 19th century, who were inspired by painting and wanted photography to be accepted as an art form. Sometimes, the 'pictorial' texture of their images was simply the result of the technical limitations of the photographic equipment they were using, including film and printing techniques.
